Meet Casie
Casie Stoughton has been at the forefront of public health in Amarillo for two decades, serving as the Director of Public Health for the Amarillo Public Health/Amarillo Area Public Health District for the past ten years. Her extensive career in public health includes vital roles in immunizations, tuberculosis (TB) control, and epidemiology.

Casie earned her Bachelor's degree in Nursing in 2004 from West Texas A&M University and went on to complete her Master's degree in Public Health in 2015 at the University of North Texas Health Science Center. Her journey into health care began with a profound experience working in a mission hospital in Honduras, where she discovered her passion for helping others. Public health became a natural extension of her work, allowing her to make significant contributions to the well-being of her community.

Beyond her professional achievements, Casie values quality time with her wonderful husband and children. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, crafting, and quilting, indulging in creative pursuits that bring joy and balance to her life.
