Who Is VIBRANT MOMS?

The Vibrant Moms Coalition is a collaborative effort between Texas Tech and our community partners, dedicated to improving maternal health outcomes in the Texas Panhandle.

 

What Is the Goal of VIBRANT MOMS?

Our goal is to understand the challenges and problems that moms experience related to their health and accessing healthcare, the resources available to them, and the priorities related to health during and after pregnancy.

 

Where Is the Work Happening?

We are focusing our efforts on counties with significant health disparities and limited access to maternity care, including Deaf Smith, Gray, Parmer, Potter, Randall, and Swisher Counties.

 

How Is the Team Accomplishing the Work?

To tackle these challenges, the VIBRANT MOMS Coalition is launching a study using a mix of methods that involve the community. We aim to develop plans for proven ways to improve maternal health by identifying what mothers need, potential barriers, and the community's priorities.

 

When Is the Work Taking Place?

This ongoing study is actively engaging with the community to gather insights and develop solutions that can be implemented to improve maternal health outcomes in the targeted regions. The VIBRANT MOMS project is a two-year study that began on August 15, 2023, and will conclude on August 14, 2025
