Who Is VIBRANT MOMS?

The Vibrant Moms Coalition is a collaborative effort between Texas Tech University Health Science Center and our community partners, dedicated to reducing preeclampsia rates and improving maternal health outcomes in the Texas Panhandle through prevention, education, and awareness.

What Is the Goal of VIBRANT MOMS?

Our goal is to prevent preeclampsia by increasing awareness of its risks, promoting the use of low-dose aspirin (LDA) when appropriate, and equipping moms and their families with the knowledge they need to advocate for their health before, during, and after pregnancy.

Where Is the Work Happening?

We are focusing our efforts on counties with significant health disparities and limited access to maternity care, including Deaf Smith, Gray, Parmer, Potter, Randall, and Swisher Counties. By collaborating with local organizations and community members, we aim to create sustainable solutions tailored to each county’s unique needs.

How Is the Team Accomplishing the Work?

To reduce preeclampsia rates, the Vibrant Moms Coalition is implementing targeted strategies, including educational campaigns about preeclampsia prevention, promoting LDA use among at-risk populations, and developing community-led initiatives that emphasize early detection and management. We also continue to build upon our research identifying maternal health barriers to ensure our solutions are both evidence-based and community-informed.
